My tours are roughly 3-4 hours in duration, and a maximum number of 5 people can be accommodated at a time. This ensures an intimate experience. The tour winds through Bree, Loop, Church and Long streets and parts of the CBD. All attendees will be able to shop 100% local, sustainably-produced clothing, jewellery, leather, art and apparel and possibly a chat with some of the store owners/designers themselves. Of course all this retail therapy and walking will induce an appetite. Attendees will get to try the best Kaapse kos (food) and drinks on the route whilst learning about the city’s unique food culture.
Hello, I want to share my appetite (pun intended) for locally-produced fashion, sustainable design and unique food experiences in my beautiful hometown, Cape Town with YOU! After 12 years of working in fashion magazines as an art director combined with loads of solo foodie adventures, I have an insider’s eye for the truly authentic and aesthetic spirit of the city. Come join me!
Water or coffee
Everything on the tour is sustainable and locally produced/owned and or operated. We will meet at the holy grail of local design, Merchants on Long in Long Street and work our way through Long, Loop, Bree, Hout and Wale Streets ending with a sweet treat at Honest Chocolate.
Please do not haggle. The store owner/designer might be willing to offer a discount but it's at his/her own discretion. Wear comfortable shoes as the tour meanders through cobblestone streets
