Take a 2 hour farm tour with Julie to get up close to her gorgeous Highland cattle and their calves. To apply social distancing, tours are limited to families or groups travelling together. You’ll be able to brush and give the calves a scratch and some of the big ones too. They’ll follow you around asking for more. You'll also visit Julie’s friendly alpacas and take a ride in her 6 seater ATV (4 wheel drive) around the property. It’s an amazing experience and the scenery is spectacular. At the end of your tour you'll head back up to the homestead for some refreshments and home made cookies.
I am the proud owner and property manager of Highland Getaway which is a Luxury Farm Stay B&B and a working farm breeding Highland Cattle in a stress free environment. Originally a city girl, I've spent the past 8 years learning about everything to do with animal behaviour and animal health. I have a soft approach with my Highlands so you can walk among them, brush them and enjoy their curiosity. I don't have dogs or horses to muster them, I call them, they call back and they come.
