This isn't just a plane tour. It starts upon arrival in your car to the property where the guests will be greeted by airport ground control and directed where to park as if they had just landed their private jet and were being directed to the terminal building. Will talk a few minutes about the history of Project Freedom. Where the idea came from and how the airplanes got here. As we walk up to the first airplane an MD-80, I like to ask what do they think they will see inside as the conversation continues. The first thing people notice is that the airplane seats aren't there and it's quite spacious inside. Having a regular size household bathroom with shower, sink and toilet is always unexpected to see. And those overhead cabinets really work good for dishes and towels. The master bedroom is of course first class. As we move over to the next airplane called Spirit. The guest will be taking unique pictures while sitting in a completely refurbished cockpit from 1979. This is where the tour becomes exciting as the guest are promoted to pilot for an interactive flight from here to your dream destination without ever leaving the ground.
When I was 15 my dad would drive me in the car down to Arlington Airport so I could get in an airplane and go cruising through the air. I finally got my private pilots license with over 90 hours because I had to wait to turn old enough. Later I received an instrument rated license also. I always enjoyed flying and dreamed about being able to convert an airplane into a home. Having built 5 traditional homes from the ground up I gained the experience and confidence to turn my Dream into a Goal and began Project Freedom on 04-01-2011.
The property is located at an actual working private airport where you will participate in a one hour tour inside 2 commercial airplanes that have been converted into a home.
