Meet at Circular Quay. Then it’s off to The Rocks - the oldest part of Sydney. You'll learn it's many secrets and bawdy past. Discover secret laneways and tunnels. There are tales of ghosts and characters who've inhabited this area. We walk under the Harbour Bridge. Our next stop is Observatory Hill to discover the location of the first Sydney public hangings. The gazebo has an eerie echo in a secret spot that’ll send chills down your spine. A short walk to the Palisades Hotel. You can buy a drink or snack of your choice and have a comfy rest. From the top floor there’s the most amazing photo opportunities of Sydney Harbour with very different aspects to that which most tourists experience. From there we’re off to Barangaroo. It’s Sydney’s newest public space and includes the Cutaway, the Star Gazers Lawn & a faithful recreation of what Sydney Harbour would have looked like before colonialisation. We’ll walk past the Jones Bay Finger Wharves, the Maritime Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Arts (not stopping at these museums but you’ll get your bearings to visit at your leisure). We finish back at Circular Quay.
I moved to Sydney 13 years ago and had a passion to learn about the city in which I live. I love walking experiences which help to understand the history, current use and future of our iconic locations. Of particular interest is our stunning coastal walks and the bawdy development of old Sydney. I particularly enjoy discovering special photography locations and special secrets of unique areas. I love showing people different aspects of this beautiful city. All my tours are designed around using Sydney’s public transport to make people feel even more knowledgeable about nagitating the city
There will be time for you to enjoy a coffee or snack (purchase your own along the way)
