My 45 Minute Market orientation tour is a walk through the 80 stalls of the indoor Adelaide Central Market, giving you my shortcut 'A' list to the Central Market and beyond. My tour takes you on a Central Market Snapshot gourmet experience, visiting my favourite stalls to try delicious tastings that represent the best foods grown and produced in South Australia. The Market is a multicultural culinary hotspot that takes years to learn properly, so if time is short and you are planning to cook a meal or just find some delicious appetisers, gifts or eat me now treats, this is the tour for you. From artisan cheeses, quirky Australian native foods, smallgoods, fresh seasonal fruits, nuts, and dairy - there really is something for everything, our tastings change every day based on what is in season. For fellow foodies with special dietary requirements, we've got you covered. It is a great shopping opportunity to learn from a local, and I will give you my tips on new and famous restaurants to visit, trendy bars and fun things to do round town. Shop where the chefs shop, and fastback yourself to become a local!
Hi, my name is Cheryl, your host through the Adelaide Central Market. I'm a Mum of two older kids and have shopped in the market for more than 30 years. It's my second home and I'm still learning the secrets of the Central Market. I read, I cook, I eat at restaurants (too much) and I love having family and friends over to dinner to test my culinary skills. The shopkeepers and local chefs in the market are now my friends. I love discovering their new and latest products and that usually involves tasting and giving feedback to them. I love people, food, family, small business and great wine.
Delicious tastings organised from may favourite stalls. Let me know if you are on a special diet, like Vegan or Gluten Free
