Guests arrive with their choice of a bottle of wine. I let them choose from my collection of wine glasses. I provide seltzer water and snacks. I ask them to sign my guest book and get them oriented. All students put on their aprons and get to work. After transferring the image of the day onto a canvas we dive right into mixing our colors and painting. I provide all materials and instructions needed to make a 9x12 or an 8x10 painting. Students can choose their own music providing everyone agrees. The students get to take their artwork home at the end of their session. No experience is necessary but those with experience can have fun and grow too.
I am an artist and a design professor. I started taking painting lessons at the age of 12 and earned a BFA degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco 28 years ago and started teaching design 13 years ago. Earlier this year I started a paint and sip company called See&Taste Art Studio.

This experience takes place in my home. We have lived on this acre of horse property since 2001. The light coming in from the large windows is well suited for painting. If the weather permits we set up tables outside.
