My combined tasting room and office space is located in the city centre, and together we will be tasting great local products. The focus will be on local beer, gin and aquavite from the award-winning brand of Bareksten, and apple cider from the fjords. I will demonstrate ingredients and tell you about the producers, their philosophy and production process, and answer all question you might have about the subject. If you wish we can also taste some local food. I can suggest to taste the winner cheese from the World Cheese Awards 2018, which is a matured gouda from Bergen, and various other cheeses and cured meat.
Some years ago I left my marketing job within life science to learn more about the world of wine. I studied to become a certified wine sommelier, and in 2016 I founded Pievino - offering bespoke wine tours and unique tasting experiences. I work closely with local producers; the distillery making (probably) the worlds best gin, a local brewery, and cider producers from the fjords of Hardanger.
I will always offer snacks, please inform me about any dietary restrictions.
The tasting experience will take place in a space that I share with creatives, architects, film makers and a interior designer. The building used to be private homes, and our space has a cool layout with high ceilings and all white interior.
Please note that the tasting will include several sips containing alcohol. All guests should be over 20 years. Please don't drink and drive. I will always have spittoons available.
