Journaling is the best! Adventures, dreams, observations…Anything and everything belongs in your journal! It’s like a spare room for your brain. My Inner+Outer process is based in ecopsychology, the place of the human in nature. Simply, it connects the dots between inner and outer experience. We’ll talk about this idea, then delve into making journals. Choose your paper and journal size, and sew it together with a simple binding. We’ll explore cover options. After some cool art journaling demos, relax into a guided meditation, then expand into creative journaling with writing, drawing and collage. We'll close with optional sharing. You’ll take home your beautiful new journal, and a booklet of tips and ideas for a regular practice, with instructions to extend your journal at home. This is a great, stress-free practice for ALL skill levels. Artists and writers, this helps you loosen up. Creatively challenged? You'll enjoy opening up creative possibilities in your life. Already journaling? This will fit right in with your practice. If not, now’s the time! Put it on paper and you see things differently.

I'm a mythologist, artist, and teacher, with a PhD in Myth & Depth Psych. And I founded Mythos-Sphere to nurture social connection through the joy of self-expression. The intuitive creative process encourages unconscious material to move into consciousness, and we can deepen our relationships by sharing that experience of the imagination. As artist, I work in mixed media collage and book arts. As mythologist, I’m your guide to the imaginal realm. My teaching style is relaxed and supportive. Move fluidly between known and unknown, self and other, as we traverse the inner-outer landscape--where Play is Sacred…
We'll work--and play!-- in my Black Mountain studio. My spot is in a quiet, convenient, walkable Black Mountain neighborhood. The main room is open and light, with large windows onto the backyard. You can sit or stand at a work table, or find a spot outside if the weather is nice. My Art Kitchen holds a bounty of supplies for your creative pleasure.
Looking for a different time? Please contact me and we’ll see what we can arrange! People who feel anxious about creative expression tell me they feel very relaxed working with me.
