Join me for a guided sightseeing running tour of Belfast. Why walk it when you can run it? This is an approx. 6.5 km / 4 mile run that takes in major sights of the city and you get to hear about Belfast's interesting past. I will take you to see the city's historic buildings like City Hall and St. Anne's Cathedral. You will get to admire Belfast's latest street art, jog through the famous Cathedral Quarter and maybe even kiss the Salmon of Knowledge. There will be time for stories and to take photos before we sit down at the end for a drink at a local café, where you can ask me some more details about Belfast and what to do. This tour is suitable for all abilities, from novice runners upwards. We will run at a casual pace suitable for the whole group. The actual run usually takes around 1 hour 10 minutes, but this is dependent on the group's pace and how many selfies you all want to take.
I have been a keen runner since 2010 and love running with others. I also have an interest in the history of Ulster. I therefore decided to start up Born To Run Tours so I could combine my interests. I provide guided sightseeing running tours in Northern Ireland. I get to run with visitors and locals around the places I love and I get to share my knowledge and stories with them. I am also an avid Game of Thrones fan, and on my tours along the Causeway Coastal Path, I get to act like a giddy fan as I show you the great sights used as filming locations.
A drink in the cafe at the end of our tour. Choose from a tea, coffee or water. If you want a nibble, bring some cash.
The great thing about a running tour is that you get to see so much more than if on a walk. You will get to go from one end of Belfast City Centre to the other, passing by many places to visit, eat and drink. With all this knowledge, you can then plan which of these places you will go to later on your stay.
