Learn about Lisbon History and have a true sailing experience, on a very small group (max 4 of different groups / 6 if single group) in my large sailboat, BISA. After sailing, we return to port and relax on the boat, sharing our boat-made drinks and canapes. A true sailing experience means that we will navigate using only sails (not under engine on a sailboat...). So, we do not follow a fixed itinerary - each tour is different, depending on the day conditions - but that is the beauty of sailing! To master the wind to go where we want!... We will sail in river Tejo and comment on Lisbon monuments. Since our trip starts just in front of the ancient city, you will truly see the riverside that matters! So that you sail comfortably with plenty of personal space, we go on a VERY SMALL GROUP: max 4 guests (or 6 if single group) - in a large boat built for 14...! Real local host experience: me, the boat owner, will be your skipper. 2 crew members will be onboard, as per law. Total 3.5 hours: Sailing is 2,5 hours Drinks and canapes 1 hour. Welcome aboard and let's sail with the wind! Notes: - Single guest: please contact me prior to reservation, so I can join you to an existing group. - Time: if you prefer a time that is not on the calendar, contact us. - Winter Weather: do not fear booking in advance. If it rains or is unpleasant, I will cancel at no cost to you
A 54 yr economist, worked many years as CEO, but at 50 I left the office life and now I share with others the beauty and the art of sailing. I sail for many years and I own BISA, a large dark blue sailboat of 13.3 mt (43 ft) that I have skippered for thousands of nautical miles. I completely love my boat because it is so beautiful and is also a home to me. I spend a lot of time taking care of it, but it is a pleasure, not an effort. I am fully licensed and in compliance with Portuguese Law: - Official Tourism Registry: RNAAT 2337/2018 - Coastal Skipper license. - 2 licensed crew members on board. We will sail in river Tejo. Our dock is very close to ancient, historical Lisbon. As we sail up river we immediately see all the old town, so beautiful seen from the water! We will pass sailing close by Commerce Square and see St. George Castle, the Cathedral, Alfama, Panteão... We will also sail down the river to the 25th of April Bridge, from where we can see important historical landmarks like Belém Tower and Padrão dos Descobrimentos.
