Have a sneak peek inside a small-batch craft chocolate kitchen. You will first learn all about how chocolate is made from the cocoa tree to the finished chocolate bar. Next we will don our aprons and go into the Chocolate kitchen to make our chocolate bars. You will be molding your chocolate bar and will add your choice of available flavor inclusions. We will let the bars cool and you will creatively wrap your own chocolate bar. You take home your unique and amazing chocolate bar crafted by you. When you leave our class you will now know a lot more than the average person about chocolate. You will also have the opportunity to shop for chocolate if you like.
I am the founder of Mindo Chocolate Makers, the first small-batch chocolate maker in the state of Michigan. Since 2009 we have taught thousands of people from all over the world about how chocolate is made. I have a business in Mindo, Ecuador where we also make small-batch chocolate. I have certifications in chocolate tasting from the International Cocoa and Chocolate Institute, trained in cocoa bean grading, a graduate of Ecole Chocolat. We love to share the thrill of making chocolate bars with others. Summer, Chocolate Maker and Pastry Chef will also teach.
We are not usually open to the public, but you will have this unique peek into our small-batch factory and have a chance to taste and buy some of our products.
