You will get to know two Mallorquinean coastal villages located in Serra de Tramuntana: a small harbor village Port de Canonge hidden by mountains and a traditional town Banyalbufar with its hills covered by ancient terraces. We will walk by the coastal line taking the beautiful trail of sa Volta des General visiting a secret place along the trail with a hidden view point known to only a few. To end the tour we will enjoy a spectacular sunset. We will start from Port des Canonge. After taking a look of the village and taking some gorgeous pictures, we start the trail of 1.5h to Banyalbufar. We walk past the beach of Son Bunyola, a forgotten white mansion still used for farming sheeps, an old oven telling a piece of history and great rock walls with gorgeous views of the sea. This route is all year round flourishing greenness giving beautiful contrast to the red cliffs. On our way back we will take a small path leading us to a secret place before heading back to enjoy my home made pizzas and after we will go to see the sunset. (Note: the sunset is on its best on summer season and depends on the weather.)
I am a passionate hiking enthusiastic and a guide who has been exploring Mallorca 20 years. I want to share my knowledge of this beautiful island to travellers who seek to know the real Mallorca. I have left the hectic city life to live in a picturesque Mallorquinean village, Port des Canonge, surrounded by the mountains of Serra de Tramuntana. I start my days walking to the next village Banyalbufar with my dog and end my evenings seeing the sun setting over the sea. I feel extremely lucky to live in a such special place and I would be happy to show you a piece of this hidden paradise.
