1. Our meeting point is at the 13th century castle of Androusa, located in the heart of Messinia, just 20 minutes drive from Kalamata and 10 minutes from Ancient Messene. At this idyllic landscape we talk about the history, the tradition and the mythical story of the castle olive trees. 2. The olive grove is our next visit. We walk though the perennial olive trees, we meet local families that harvest their own trees and they teach us how to pick up some olives. Hand picking the olives directly into a basket or with a net is a lifetime experience. 3. In the heart of Androusa Village we visit our family Olive Oil mill that is located there since 1904. The olive is extracted and we taste it directly from the separator fresh and warm. 4. We taste olive oil of different varieties, recognize the principles of EVOO and we are about to become tasting experts! 5. Let's be surprised with food pairing in at least 4 different taste combinations 6. Our traditional meal with many local goods such as lalagia, smoked ham (pasto), Kalamata Olives, tzatziki, feta cheese, , olive paste, salad, hot soup, smoked sausage, local desert, is served and tastes like fresh olive oil!

Androusa is a typical village of inner Messinia in an altitude of 800m, with an amazing 13th century castle and spectacular view.. The local people are mainly farmers, dealing with cultivating their perennial olive trees and producing their own olive oil. The area is well known for the fruity, Koroneiki Variety, green olive oil and the famous Kalamata Black Olives. We visit family owned olive groves where the actual olive harvest is taking place
