If you do not know Turin, Cit Turin, the part of the city center in which we live, is a good starting point for the first approach to the city. We will visit the local market of Piazza Benefica, shopping for our menu and browsing the countless market stalls and small shops. We will walk among the numerous historical buildings that surround the square breathing the air Art Nouveau of Turin and chatting about food and wine and everything we like to reach our house where we will cook together through the local and our families traditions. Each course will be accompanied by wine selected by us in the best cellars of Monferrato. Unfortunately on Sunday this experience does not include the market tour because the market is closed.
Hi, I'm Andrea, a professional cook and cooking teacher. My passion for cooking was transmitted to me by my uncle, an engineer but a cook in the soul and gourmet without boundaries. In my life I did many things, but in the end I came to my great passion, the kitchen. I cooked in Moscow, in France as a private chef, in restaurants in Tuscany, Marche and Sicily. In the last few years, in Florence, I worked as a cooking teacher in a private university. I love Italian cuisine, but above all I love cooking.
Typical Piedmont lunch.
The neighborhood where I live is a typical place of everyday life in Turin, where I shop every day, talking to the farmers who sell their products, and assiduously frequenting the small local shops. We will walk among the liberty buildings of my neighborhood arriving at my house where we will prepare the menu together.
