In true Torinese fashion, we will meet in a piazza known for Torino’s beautiful historic coffee houses. You'll get to know the deep relationship between coffee and Torino, and explore the beautiful 18th and 19th-century architecture of the city, and topping it off with a gelato from a historic gelateria favored by locals. You will walk away with a better understanding of this city, having walked 1.5km around the center and having tasted the excellent coffee and sweets of Torino.
I’m Evelyn, an American in Italy for 7 years, I’ve been studying (and falling in love with) all this country has to offer in art history, archaeology, and gastronomy. A 2nd Level Sommelier, my passion for food and drink led me to Torino where I take guests on spectacular walks to see piazzas, palaces and taste the history at old coffee bars and gelaterias.
Gelato & Pastries If weather is too cold or guest prefers we can switch for a tasting of Torinese chocolates, including…
We’ll begin in the historic Piazza San Carlo and jumpstart our coffee walk with a specialty espresso in one of Torino’s oldest cafes and sweet stores. We’ll explore the center before heading to the old cobblestone streets for our second iconic cafe in Torino's history. After walking 1.5km, we’ll end on Via Po, nearby Piazza Carignano (2 minute walk from meeting point) for an artisanal gelato at one of the historic local favorites.
Though the walk is short, we will be on some old streets so bring walkable shoes! Be sure to have your camera ready for some Instagram shots ;)
