I teach a simple, hands-on pasta making class that will show you how easy it is to make your own pasta, and how great the results are, even your first time making it. I prefer to keep the class simple and un-fancy - affordable and accessible. We each make our own portion of fresh pasta, roll it out by hand and cut it into tagliatelle, then cook it all together and eat. While waiting for the dough to rest and then to dry, I'll demonstrate a couple of simple sauces, learning techniques that are easily applicable to anything you're cooking at home and will easily up your pasta-making skills at home (even if using store bought pasta). We normally make a simple tomato sauce and a pesto that varies according to the season. Vegans have the option of making pici, a flour and water pasta typical of Tuscany. The price of the class includes the dinner. Local, organic wine is available at 2 euro a glass or 7 euro a bottle. It all takes place in our hostel's cafe and you'll be cooking and socializing with guests of all ages and nationalities.
Organic, local wine wine or beer is optional at 2 euro a glass or 7 euro a bottle
