Follow me to a typical Parisian market to discover high quality French products, their origins and their stories. We will choose together everything we will need to prepare a festive lunch for all of us! We will then go back to my apartment to cook typical French dishes (sometimes with a little twist) before sharing them during a convivial meal (appetizer, cheese and wine included)
When I was a little girl, my mother and I went shopping to our local Parisian market, that's when my passion for cooking started. From that moment, I had to know every herb, spice, vegetable I saw, and how to cook it! I was so proud to make my first gratin dauphinois at 8, and a tarte tatin at 10! With an Indian/Vietnamese mother and an Italian/Ukrainian father, I learnt about products and techniques from different cultures that I love to use to add a little twist to traditional French recipes. As a result, at only 6,my eldest son's favorite is a bœuf bourguignon with orange zest!
Typical French dishes I also have great French vegetarian or gluten-free recipes
We will shop together rue Cler, a lovely pedestrian street full of small shops selling everything we will need, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, cheese, bread, wine... This area is like a little village, and I'm lucky enough to know everybody there now! The Invalides are just in front of my apartment, so if you wish, you can visit it, its war museum and the tomb of Napoleon right after our lunch. The Eiffel tower is at a 10min walk from my place.
