I want every guest to leave with a piece of art that they feel proud of and that redefines their creative abilities, both conceptually and technically. We will begin by learning the basics of watercolor (and I'll share a few tricks) then we will move on to our individual projects. I will guide the participants as we create our own unique expression. The primary project that I like guide students on is a unique layered landscape. This project teaches students about color, depth, and composition--allowing everyone to leave with a cool, novel project that you can give as a gift or keep as a reminder of your visit to beautiful Asheville. This project is great for all skill levels because you can get as creative with it as you want. If you want to do your own thing, I am happy to guide you on a variety of other projects.

Whether you're planning on exploring eclectic West Asheville, or need an excuse to visit, my class is great activity to fit into a fun day. I would love to offer a plein air painting class, but this course allows us to not be weather-dependent. When the weather is nice we can paint in our back yard. For the majority of the classes, we will work in my home studio. It's a sun room, and it's full of light and great energy.

I have taught all ages and levels so you will be in good hands in this class and I make sure everyone leaves feeling great about their work.
