You'll enjoy a very special guided architectural walk, with a difference, through two of Derry's special historic areas: the Historic City Conservation Area and Clarendon Street Conservation Area. Along the way I reveal all kinds of Derry's hidden treasures and what these tell us about the people who created them. This eye opening experience helps you truly see all that makes this place special, and appreciate what's special in your place too. We gather at Gwyn's Cafe (within the grounds of Brooke Park) before wending our way uphill to Rosemount Shirt Factory on the edge of the historic city. Then we meander downhill through historic Brooke Park, along some of Derry's finest historic residential terraced streets and see our unique old lamp posts. Visit everything from Georgian architecture built in the Victorian era, to Edwardian, and radically modern 20th century architecture. By now you're ready for a short rest and chat over a cup of tea/coffee and scone. Then we head into historic Bogside streets before a short uphill walk along part of the city walls. Enjoy expansive panoramas across Derry's western cityscape before weaving our way into streets in the Fountain, before a stroll along the walled city's finest streets. I recommend several city centre cafes you may choose for a warming bowl of soup. Come prepared to be delight.

I stand for the possibility of a world of belonging, delight and aliveness. I really love opening people’s eyes to beauty - or delight - in the world around us. Delight is everything in our human made places that lifts your spirit, and helps you feel alive. It breathes life into the heart and soul of communities. I help people get under the skin of places so that they feel at home as they discover the culture of the people, who created the place.

Our guided walk takes us off the beaten track away from the madding crowds. Getting under the skin of this special place we'll stop outside old shirt factories, pass through parks, along historic residential terraces, experience the city's most impressive contemporary interior spaces, walk the 17th century city walls and narrow streets of workers terraces, wrapping up with highlights from the walled city's finest Georgian and Edwardian buildings
