Our guide is a modern-day cowgirl and has been a certified horseback riding instructor for 20 years. We’ll drive from Denver to her working horse ranch, The High Plains Drift Inn, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. We’ll head to Monarch, Wolf Creek, or Taos ski resort to do three full days of skiing or snowboarding. When we’re not on the slopes, we’ll ride horses around the ranch, visit Great National Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls, eat delicious food, bathe in the world’s deepest mineral hot springs, and go hiking into the hills to spot wildlife.
A bit about me, being raised on a guest ranch you could say that hospitality is in my blood. I love meeting people and I love putting a smile on thier faces, either by making horse riding or skiing simple or with a batch of cookies! I have ridden horses since I was two days old and I have skied since I could walk, naturally I started teaching pretty young. I have taught both for over 20 years. I am still not tired of it, in my free time you are just as likely to find me training a young horse or on the back side of the mountain searching for fresh snow, as you are curled up with a good book
