Upon arrival, Chef John will greet guests and go over New Haven's infamous Pizza culture and what makes it uniquely different. Next, we'll go over the basics of pizza making and how to choose sauces, toppings, and how to properly roll dough, top, bake and garnish pizza. Guests will all have an opportunity to make their own pizzas and enjoy them with a paired glass of wine Chef John will pick out for you to match your pizza selection!
With over 18 years of culinary experience, John has climbed through the ranks of the kitchen, working for several well-known restaurant groups along the way and eventually launching his own hospitality company in 2015 with the creation of his first concept, Elm City Social, “Kitchen & Cocktails. After being awarded CT Magazines 40 under 40 in 2015, Chef Brennan went on to open his second venture, Olives and Oil, “Italian Cucina & Wine Bar.” Chef boasts “from scratch” kitchens and serious beverage programs focused on craft cocktails, intricate wines & craft beer.
