Join us on an unforgettable winter dogsled-ride with our super friendly huskies. You can drive your own dog team and experience how to handle a bunch of polar dogs! Our huskies are enthusiastic when they are in their element, and that is contagious! After a quick check of your equipment (we have boots and overalls for you if needed) you will be involved in all steps of handling a husky team, from preparing the sledes, harnessing the dogs and of course driving and steering a dog team! For those who don't like to drive themselves, it is also possible to sit and share driving. We will drive into the beautiful and breathtaking valley "Stordalen", surrounded by frozen waterfalls and high cliffs. After the tour, we will warm up on the cosy fireplace in our lavvo (Tipi) with coffee and some snacks. Here you will have the chance to find out more about our way of life in the North with more than 90 dogs... Previous knowledge from dogsledding is not necessary. Everyone who is fit enough for cycling or skiing can join our adventures. You will get a thorough introduction on harnessing the huskies, and maneuvering a sledge. Some physical strength is necessary in order for you to participate in these activities. Of course we will get help from us in all tasks! The overall program is about 5 hours. Depending on conditions the time on the dog team is about 2-3 hours.
