We meet near the ferry terminal and walk to four sit-down experiences at top restaurants for a multi-course, walking tour adventure down Bridgeway and or Caledonia Street. Gourmet food is paired with local or Italian varietals for an exceptional representation from each chef in this scenic, bay-side, European-feeling destination. Come hungry and leave with powerful memories of what Sausalito meant to Janis Joplin, Ottis Redding, The Rolling Stones, Robin Williams and so many more. We will stop for photo ops where the views are breathtaking. Learn why Angel Island is shaped like it is and why art is such a big deal here. We will sample local cheeses from West Marin and Sonoma, fresh sea food as a must-have for Sausalito and Italian raviolis who need no-shell at all. The wines are both from California and Italy. Vegetarians and gluten-free folks are welcome, dairy and vegan are a little tougher for this tour.
I've been a local for 25 years and live in the Sonoma Plaza neighborhood, running our family tour business for 4 wine country towns + Sausalito. I have been in the wine industry for 10+ years and developed pairing tours to share my passion with other curious visitors. After 5 years of guiding, I joined the Guild of Sommeliers and earned my first level of four with the Court of Master of Sommeliers. My adult kids and I guide with 3 other professionals who have helped us earn two positions in the Top 15 Best Foodie Tours in the US, by US News & World Reports. We all educate our palates and minds by traveling to note-worthy restaurants locally and internationally. Look for our Napa, Yountville, St Helena & Sausalito experiences on Abnb too! History of Sausalito and how it relates to San Francisco
Sausalito is a hidden gem! Come over from SF and into a quieter, easier mecca for culinary excellence. You will enjoy sweeping views from the beginning and mouth watering food with well-paired wine along the way. Due to our experience and involvement with the Sausalito Chamber, we know the chefs and purveyors well and are happy to add history. Chocolate happens too!
Ferry tickets are easy to get online but are separate from our pricing. Look for Blue and Gold or Golden Gate.
