Join us for a fun-filled day cooking on at and urban microfarm. Dig into sustainable cooking practices, while you work hands-on preparing a meal. You'll also get a brief tour of Moonwater Farm. Your adventure will include snacks and drinks throughout the day, and will culminate with a family-style meal that you've prepared! Each class has a cultural theme, and will include harvesting seasonal produce from the farm.
Chef Stacey has been teaching others to cook for over ten years. In Chicago, she attended CHIC and earned an AA in Pastry and Baking. From Chicago, she relocated to Atlanta, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Management, and actively volunteered in her community, teaching cooking classes with a focus on whole foods. There, she also started a small community garden, where she taught-garden-to-table recipes to the local food desert community. Now back in Los Angeles, Stacey serves as a school garden educator and private chef, and is a UC Master Gardener.
