After meeting at the yacht club we will jump aboard and do a short safety briefing before casting off and heading out into the Atlantic ocean. If the prevailing weather conditions allow, a typical experience will begin with some sailing between Granger Bay (Greenpoint stadium) and Robben Island. Guests will have the opportunity to steer the boat and learn about other aspects of yachting such as wind direction and sail trim. Depending on the conditions, we will either find time to anchor at one of the safe anchorages along the coastline, such as Clifton beach, or decide to keep sailing. If anchored there will be an opportunity to swim, paddleboard and take photos. We will serve some basic snacks and a choice of wines, beer, ciders and soft drinks. At the end of the experience, we will head back to the marina.
I have sailed competitively and represented my country at various levels before spending a year sailing professionally overseas. I am at home in the ocean and have a love and respect for her. I believe that sailing is an amazing way to connect with nature and one's surroundings from a completely different perspective. My team and I have over 40 years of combined experience sailing in the beautiful waters in and around Cape Town, and we are excited to show you what it's all about.
