Join me for a mobile photography workshop to learn the basics of your smartphone camera, as well as some "secret" functions! Unlock your inner creative as you learn the difference between taking a photo and making one with intention. How It Works: We’ll meet at Patrica's Green in Hayes Valley. It's a small park on the corner of Fell and Octavia. Right off Hayes Street. At the tables outside we’ll have a brief photo lesson that will cover the basics of light, composition, and color. From there we’ll take a photo walk around Hayes Street. By the end you’ll understand the difference between taking a photo and making a photo with intention. Finally, we'll end up back at the tables and edit one of our photos. Everyone can choose a photo they like and we’ll go through the editing process together. You'll Learn: How the camera on our phone works Features you may not know about that could be game changers for your photos What editing apps enhance the creative process from start to finish
Get ready to "make" a photograph, instead of "take" a photograph! I’m Jen and I can show you the difference, on a fun, insightful walk around Hayes Street, with nothing but your mobile phone. You'll love your new shots for Instagram! I'm a photographer, content creator, and San Francisco native. I’ve lead photo walks as team building events for Instagram, Adobe and other San Francisco based companies. And traveled all over the world as a travel writer and photographer. I love nothing more than showing people how to slow down, notice their environment and see everyday reality through a different lens. With some basic knowledge about light, composition, and color anyone can bring the atmosphere, emotion, and drama of a situation to life in a photograph. Ready to get snap happy in San Francisco?
We'll meet at the tables at Patricia's Green in Hayes Valley on Fell and Octavia. We'll walk through Hayes Valley, and then possibly end up at the Grove on Hayes Street to have a coffee and talk about editing apps.
