We are going to visit two art spaces in Bandung that have an on-going exhibition. We will visit one art space for 30-45 mins, depending on how big the exhibition is. As for the commuting time, usually, it takes 15-30 mins per trip (say from our meeting place to the first gallery, or the first gallery to the second gallery) depending on the traffic. Workshops and other activities besides visiting is not included.
Hello! My name is Dian, I studied Art Theory and I used to work for art galleries in Singapore, Jakarta, and Bandung. I'm working for Tourkassa since 2017, an initiative that provide touring programs, public programs for galleries, artist studios' tour, and workshops--shaping our programs into a learning experience for the audience. I will be getting help from Ambar who will also co-host the activity. She studied Interior Design but has a great passion in Art, her experience include working with various art spaces and studios in Bandung since 2016, as well as assisting artists.
Tickets for the art spaces -- some places are charging entrance fee
5-seated car If the traffic is too bad and/or the group is less than 3 people, we will take a taxi, Grab Bike or Gojek.
We are visiting two art spaces that have an on-going show, sometimes there's little information about the artworks being exhibited or the events that are going on there so I'll help you to understand what's going on in Bandung art scene. The art spaces and the exhibitions we're going to visit varies depending on the time.
Most of the art spaces in Bandung don't have wheelchair-accessible entry, some have stairs, some don't allow taking pictures, and it'll be easier for you to bring a small bag or just a tote bag.
