From meet and greet we'll have a quick chat to see if there are any particular interests or things being sought. I have a good list of op shops, a consignment shop and various vintage/retro and antique shops to choose from. The exact tour will be designed to meet the shoppers on the day. We'll mostly walk from place to place but there are are also a couple of shops worth catching an Uber to if a particular interest is expressed. Depending on the day we may also visit the CWA ladies with their homemade goodies and crafts. The shops visited vary in size so the duration of stay will reflect this, a couple of shops really need a bit longer to explore. To replenish our energy there is a great selection of cafes to choose from, a drink is included in the tour. All up the walking time is about 30/40 minutes so suitable shoes and a bag for goodies are recommended.
I love stuff. I have been a hunter and collector of treasures and op shop clothes since my teens (and as my mother would say "that wasn't yesterday"). The hunt and delight of a find still excites me. I love to know the stories behind "stuff" and imagining the new life they are going to have. Running a retro/vintage stall in a Syndey antique centre was a dream come true, now in Hobart it's just the occassional stall to keep involved in the vintage community. Come join me and explore Hobarts streets and treasures.
A drink to replenish and carry on !
Hobart is a very accessible city to get around but it can be confusing with the one way streets so walking is an ideal way to explore. While our time will be focused on visiting the op shops and lovely vintage/retro stores I'm happy to point out other delightful building, art works or my "go to" places.
