This experience will last around 3 and a half hours and covers a distance of approximately 6 kms. I will take you on horseback through the valley on country roads and paths not many people know about. We will visit a farmer friend that has a tobacco farm where you will have the chance to visit a cigar house and learn about the transformation process, the family's unique recipe and even how cigars are rolled. We will also go to another farmer's coffee plantation for an instructive tour; you will have the privilege to learn about our local liquor secrets, "Guayabita del Pinar". Tasting included! In this experience, you will also visit a lookout offering an amazing view of the valley. A visit to a lagoon is also included. There is no map of the region that will show you the way to them. I will be happy to show them to you. This unique experience is offered for a modest price of 20 CUC x person and it includes being accompanied and guided, entrance to Viñales National Park, a docile horse, all the visits and cigar/liquor tasting experiences. Having more than 15 years of experience as a Viñales National Park employee,being an active member of the community,an animal and nature activist,I came to realize that people come to our region for its beautiful landscape. But there is something visitors often miss,the warmth,simplicity and generosity of its inhabitants. In this experience I will put to work my vast knowledge of our valley and my status as a leader of the community and I will be thrilled to introduce you to our local farmers so you learn first hand how they think,work and go about their lives,join me to uncover these secrets!
I will guide you through Viñales beautiful countryside, I will take you to a farmer's tobacco farm, a lagoon, a special lookout, a farmer's coffee plantation and much more. All of these treasures of our valley are better experienced when a local like me helps you find them and I will be happy to do so!
This is an experience for people of all ages, children, adults and elders. Our horses are very docile and well trained. You will be given some safety explanations on-site.
