You come to George Town must understand how it meets 3 UNESCO heritage criteria. First criteria, the traditional trading port activities. Second criteria, living cultures likes Baba Nyonya, Malay, Chinese and India communities. Lastly, the colonial buildings and prewar houses. For the British colonial buildings, you will witness City Hall and Town Hall. I shall share with you the activities took place in Town Hall over the past years. For the prewar houses, I bring you Khoo Kongsi and Dr Sun Yat Sen Museum, you notice the China man art works and the purpose of these two old prewar houses for the local and China communities. Walking around Little India, you will smell the Indian spices and clothes. If you come to George Town a few days before Deevapali, you experience the local Indian come to the place for their textiles and prepare for their coming festival. If you are street lover, you cannot miss out George Town celebration street arts in year 2009 and 2010 like brother and sister on bicycle, strayed cats. On the walking tour, I also introduce you some local popular street foods and India restaurant. I shall give you great places to taste the local foods in George Town.
