Every year since 2009, Sydney holds the Vivid Sydney Festival. World famous landmarks such as Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge are illuminated in vibrant colours and animations. The centrepiece of Vivid Sydney is the light sculptures, multimedia interactive work and building projections that transform various buildings and landmarks such as the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in and around Sydney into an outdoor night time canvas of art. This is an informal tutorial/walking tour that's designed to help you creating beautiful images from the Vivid Sydney festival. After meeting near the Circular Quay train station, I will introduce myself, explain safety information, our shooting style and technique and then we will go to our shooting location to get started. We'll make high-quality photos using your digital camera and a tripod. I'll take you to some of the best photography spots for shooting the Sydney Opera House and other spots like MCA and the Custom House if time permits. You'll learn how to shoot fast-changing lightshow, the best camera settings for such shots and tips and tricks on post-processing images. This year it will be hosted from 26 May till 16 Jun 2018.
During the tour we will walk for a few kilometers so wear comfortable shoes. Participants will be able to chose from locations such: - Overseas Passenger Terminal - Circular Quay - Sydney Opera House - Royal Botanical Garden I'll also show you some of my favorite places.
