We will teach you all the basic surf knowledge. Our school uses a unique technique which helps you learn how to stand up on a surfboard in less than two hours, even if you are a complete beginner. You do not have to wait weeks to successfully stand on a surfboard.
We cover everything you need to know to become a surfer in two hours. The first half hour is spent on land discussing the ins and outs of surf technique where you will learn the basic rules and surf safety. The remainder of the time is spent in the water with your instructor and later you can practice by yourself.
By your very first lesson, you’ll be riding waves and feeling the joy that surfing brings! We offer the best value beginner surfing lessons available because you get the most optimal student to instructor class ratio. We use a part of the beach that is safe and perfect for surfing even if you have never been on a surfboard before.

You MUST BOOK A PRIVATE LESSON with us if you:
- Don't know how to swim
- Are under 18
- Have any disabilities
- Don't speak English
- Have a private party event

My goal as a professional surf coach is to help you become the best surfer possible in a short period of time. I am a certificated professional surf coach and WSL professional surfer. I know how to help others progress quickly and to go from non-surfer to being comfortable on a board and catching waves.

Such a fun experience and Nik was a great teacher! He really took the time to explain the technique and was patient with each of us as we were wiping out all over the place :) I really felt like I learned a lot and would feel confident going back to try it again!

Nik is a very professional and experienced instructor. I had a great time surfing with him. As a beginner I was nervous but Nik motivated me and explained all the maneuvers in such detail that there was no room for error. He was there all the time in the water with me and explained each step over and over until I got it. I highly recommend him. Since I am local to LA I am gonna definitely do more classes with him. I was a bit disappointed that my lesson got rescheduled from an earlier time to a later time. I had consistently heard that morning was better for learning and was disappointed to be moved to an afternoon lesson. I was told it was due to weather, but I actually arrived early and the instructor was finishing up a private lesson, so that seems to be the real reason I was moved because I booked a group lesson. Next, it wasn’t Nik that I met, but Alex, who seems to work for that company. Alex was wonderful and really made the lesson fun, but it was a bit confusing at first. I would also say, that if you want to catch more waves, spend the extra for a private lesson. We were 6 in our group and I got to try out about 4 waves. It was definitely safe and still enjoyable to be out in the water though.
