The day begins early in the morning with a two hour hike through the hills and beaches that surround Balandra Bay. The hike is an intermediate level, it has some uphills and very rocky terrain. It will be guided by me and/or my partner. We will share all we can about the marine life we encounter, as well as the history of La Paz and its inhabitants. After the hike we will relax by a camp on the beach with commodities like shade, beach chairs, towels and snacks. We will continue the adventure by kayaking into the mangroves and Balandra's rocky reefs, where we will jump into the water for a snorkeling experience. The campsite will be waiting for us with a delicious ceviche, hydrating drinks, fruits and drinks. A relaxing afternoon awaits. Please know that we will need your help to carry the kayaks and set up camp before the hike. If you are a solo traveler please contact me before booking so I can explain some details that will be different if only one person books the experience.
I am a marine biologist, scuba dive master and a lover of nature. I've been living in La Paz for almost a decade and I still get surprised by all the paradises it hides. I am always amazed by the beauty of the natural word, and my favorite way to admire it is by immersing myself in it. Hiking, kayaking, diving and snorkeling are my favorite activities to explore the amazing environment that surrounds us. I have been an Airbnb host for over two years and meeting people from different cultures has been an incredible enriching experience.
Local ceviche & tostadas. Fruits, veggies & cookies Vegan options available..
Kayaks, snorkels & camp I will provide the kayaks, snorkel equipment, campsite and anything we might need.
Balandra is a popular beach that everyone can get to, however, the hiking trail and mangroves where we will take you are hidden treasures not many people know about.
The hike and the kayaking requires a good physical condition. By the end of the day you will need a really good night of sleep, but the adventure is a 100% worth it!
