Get ready to fall in love with alpacas! At The Alpaca Hacienda you'll experience these captivating animals and their delightful personalities. You will be greeted upon arrival by Beth or Julie and begin your tour with a few moments to say hello to our female alpacas. We will invite you to sit down under our gazebo for an entertaining slideshow to learn about alpacas and some of the quirky, interesting things they do, as well as what we do with their luxurious fiber. You'll have the opportunity to hand feed the alpacas a nutritious treat, which is included in your tour fee. This is a great opportunity for photos and selfies! You'll also meet our llama, Marshall, who sometimes gives our guest kisses! We will give you time to shop in our ranch store where you'll find many items made from soft, warm alpaca fleece such as hats, scarves, and gloves, as well as toys and alpaca-themed items. Plan on an hour to an hour and a half for the tour.
I'm crazy about alpacas and look forward to sharing my herd with you! We'll be talking about all things alpaca, from why I raise them to how I care for them and the quirky things about alpacas that make them so wonderful to be around. I have been raising alpacas since 2004 and have been involved in showing alpacas, birthing, breeding, boarding and more. I spin their fiber into luxurious yarns and also create felted projects from their fleece. My alpacas and I have been featured in O Magazine, PetsTV, HGTV, KCET and industry magazines. Let me share my passion for alpacas with you!
We'll spend the majority of the tour at the top of the property, where you'll meet our female alpacas and sit under our gazebo for a fun seminar. This area is mostly dirt and sidewalks with shade trees and lovely views. The last part of the tour will be on the lower portion of the ranch where our male alpacas and our llama, Marshall, reside. There is a short walk down a gravel driveway to get there. The views from below are spectacular!
3歳以上の方10名まで参加できます。保護者同伴の2歳未満のお子様も参加可能です。 Guests should love to be outdoors interacting with animals. We may introduce our livestock guardian dog, who will be on a leash, therefore guests should be comfortable around dogs.
Most of the tour is accessible by walkers and wheelchairs, however part of the tour requires walking down a gravel driveway. Let us know if you need assistance.
