Experience Cape Town like a local and eat, drink, and explore the city through your taste buds. This walking food tour of 4 – 5 hours includes all food and drinks consumed at 8 stops in central Cape Town and the Bo-Kaap. During this tour you’ll get to walk the intercity streets and discover its rich cultural history, traditional and modern-day food culture and learn about where to eat and drink during your stay in Cape Town. Many of the food stops are curated specifically for us and you’ll get to meet some of the passionate purveyors who will explain the origin and preparation of dishes. Food stops may vary but will include stops for the famous Cape Malay koeksusters and samoosas, a visit to an artisanal bakery, a chocolatier, an art gallery serving local African flavours, and many more. Some of the stops include alcoholic beverages such as beer, gin and boutique South African wine. Walking food tours are considered ideal opportunities to orientate first time visitors to a city and show repeat visitors some of the hidden gems they would not have discovered before.
