The walk starts in the morning meeting at the village of Alí Terme, then by a car we will reach the base of the hill where the trail starts. Approx it will take 30 min by car. The walk is approx 8km with a medium difficulty. It takes approx 4-5 hours, depend how often we stops for pictures or just to enjoy the view. At the end of the walk there is a picnic and BBQ area inside the chestnut bush, We can discuss before the walk start if we would like to stop there after for a BBQ or picnic. Then we will make the way back to the village of Alì Terme by car. All the experience will last about 5 hours. At the meeting point there is pasticerie popular for one of the best granita with brioche or ice cream and the dessert "bianco e nero" tipical just of this area.
I would like to share one of the best place hided in the Sicilian hills. I have been on this hills to relax and stay close to nature. Place that you cannot find in a turistic guide. My grandparents use to own and live in this hills about 70 years ago before to became a conservative park. There is still a ruder of a stone house where they lived at that time. You can expirience the perfect view of the sea side from the top. There is a chestnut bush and a native spring water coming fresh from the mountain.
In front of the council building, next to the pasticerie, to taste the great granita before to leave or on the way back.
