Welcome to Dana Point, the most romantic spot in California! Once we pick up our kayaking gear, we'll cruise around the harbor and chat about the interesting history and folklore of Dana Point. Upon returning our kayaks, we’ll embark on a hike over the Bluff Trail, through the Lantern District, and back down to the Ocean Institute to learn more about local marine life. We'll pause at an ocean overlook point and end with a stroll on the beach to get back to our starting point.

Please be on time at the start point, the program offered is really great and we will do a lot! This will only work if everyone is on time.

Historically speaking, Dana Point is deeply connected with Hollywood, CA, but also with the old Spanish colonization, Piracy and domestic trade. This makes the city very culturally rich and inspiring. The Dana Point Harbor is a phenomenal place to kayak and explore California at its best.

Loved my ride through the Dana Point Harbor with Gene. It was a perfect weather day and we moved at a leisurely pace during which Gene pointed out things of interest in the harbor area and we got to talk with other boaters in the harbor. After the kayak trip, we went to visit area sites and vista points. Gene was a wonderful host and made the experience very pleasurable.

Great customized experience. If you want to get to know the area through the eyes of a local, here it is. We were new to exploring outdoor activities and the guide has gotten to know us well and took us to places we would never have known how to access if not for our guide. Super knowledgeable. Loved the kayaking part and learned a lot that made us feel more confident to kayak again next time.
