You'll meet us inside Peckham Levels, a trendy converted multi storey carpark in the heart of South London. While sipping on a cup of tea we'll talk you through the screen printing process and show you some examples of epic limited edition prints we've worked on. We'll show you how to get your artwork from digital file to screen or if prefer organic creativity we'll supply you with the tools to draw out your own design before getting you to coat and expose your own screen. While your screens dry you'll have an hour to explore Peckham Levels and take in some of the exhibitions and graffiti in the unique space. You'll also get 15% off at one of the delicious food kiosks serving everything from vegan pizza to mouthwatering friend chicken burgers. After lunch the fun really starts! With your screens dry and ready to go you'll mix up your desired ink colour and pull your first print. By the end of the session you'll walk away with an edition of 10 prints of your own design as well as the skills to do it all again. In the summer months you can end your day by heading up to the rooftop bar and taking in some of the best views London has to offer while sipping on an ice cold lager.
I graduated with a degree in Textile Screen Printing from the University of Leeds in 2010 and began interning for studios and high street brands like Topshop and Miriam Rouden designing prints in digital format or creating hand painted screen prints. I developed my industry knowledge and cultivated my passion for all things print by working as a freelance assistant for Patternity and Louise Grey. I've been fortunate enough to work with some of the biggest names in fashion including JW Anderson and Burberry and the prints I've designed have graced the catwalks of London Fashion Week.
