In this fun class, you will learn how to make two different local shrimp dishes, which you cannot find the recipe and taste around here! We will start class on how to prepare shrimps. First, you will enjoy the spicy shrimp dish recipe which is a favorite Japanese- Chinese dish. This favorite recipe will be hot red sauce stir-fry. Second, we will make a unique white sauce base shrimp dish. Red spice shrimp is good with rice, and white shrimp is good with bread. Both are the great pairing with white wine. When we finish making those two dishes, we will pair with white wine. You will eat a lot of shrimps, and best of all take home a box with shrimps dishes if there are left over. Because it is very delicious, you may eat them all at my house! I will use local ingredients to show you one of a kind, delicious authentic Japanese and Asian cuisine.
I born and raised in Japan, and moved to the U.S. about 25 years ago. I am a world traveler and love eating their local food and cooking delicious food by myself. I am a certified culinarian and a chef, and a winner of the 2014 Heirloom pumpkin squash competition by Limehouse Produce. I have a passion for teaching guests how to make delicious food. Because we are in Charleston, we should know how to cook local shrimps besides shrimp cocktail and gumbo!
