How this how it all works: we´ll meet at a set point and after introductions, we´ll set off and buy most (but not all) of the ingredients to make paella. We´ll go to a local Granada -run deli to get the meat and veg. Stop in at another little place to chat n´choose some local wine (if you want). Then we´ll walk along the river to my house (only 15 minutes from the centre) and start to make a "paella mixta" The Spanish consider this to be a hearty lunch dish but if you want to do this activity early evening and have dinner then that´s fine by me! **Alcohol is not included in the price but you´re welcome to buy some while we´re shopping for ingredients.
Do you want to cook local food in someone's house? We are 2 friends, Gayle and Gaby and we want to invite you to cook (and eat!!) with us. I'm Gayle and although born in Scotland, I've been a Granada local for 23 years now. My 92 year old (adopted) Spanish grandma showed me how to cook a meaty (Andalusian) paella and I'm sticking to her tried & tested recipe! Gaby is Spanish and a working mum to two super kids. She's a great cook and we both love entertaining. Depending on the date you book either Gaby or I will be your host. This experience is fun and informal. We´ll chat about all sorts of things, life in Spain in general while we make a delicious lunch or dinner together.
Lunch (meat & veg paella) Vegetarian paella (if required)
We´ll visit a few of my favourite little delicatessen shops (old and new) before heading to my house to make the paella dish
Maximum of 4 people (*kids welcome - ask for prices*) We´ll walk to my apartment after shopping. This take about 15 mins Please inform of any dietary requirements so as to adapt the paella accordingly
