From spies to secret passageways put your super sleuth skills to the test as you search for over 70 secret doors and explore our themed rooms. We would never give you a map - this would ruin the surprise of finding a secret door. We do give you a hint card and talk to you about the Big O before you start your journey. It’s not in the finding, it’s in the seeking that is important. Experience the magic! You will begin your experience with an in-depth introduction to our rich history and our secret doors, as well as what to look for as you go. Then, we will send you off on your own to search for the secrets and treasures that are everywhere to be found. As you explore the mansion, which is steeped in history and intrigue, you'll be walking in the footsteps of presidents, freedom fighters, G-Men, historians, famous musicians, and fiction writers. I have been welcoming people in to be inspired for 40 blessed years. Me, Ted, Iso, or one of our other fantastic docents will facilitate your treasure hunt on this amazing journey. Ted: As the President of The Mansion & husband to H, his knowledge of our unique exhibits is vast — you will love hearing his stories about our history & artifacts Iso: A historian from the U of Pittsburgh, Iso loves introducing people to O Museum's highlights & secret doors

O Museum in The Mansion, one of Washington’s best kept secrets, was rated one of the “Top 5 historic venues to explore in the world” & the only place in the U.S. (Smithsonian). Located in historic Dupont Circle, O Museum has been featured on TV & several books including; Four Blind Mice by James Patterson, The John Lennon Letters by Hunter Davies, National Geographic Traveler, ABC News, Travel Channel, The History of The Eagles, & WETA.
All ages can attend. If you have have a short attention span, this is the place for you because there is so much to see and do. If you are a minimalist, you will be overwhelmed. Museum closes at 5pm.
