We'll start by sipping a beverage and talking textiles! After hearing how the creative process lights up your brain, you'l learn how to paint on silk by exploring with a paint brush, a blow dryer, water and dye. After a couple of testers to loosen up and get comfortable, you'll get to create a scarf or your own wine/flower vase/ "everything" wrap. Like ceramics that get fired in a kiln, I'll need to put your creations into my 'rocket ship' steamer, then iron and finish them, which will take me additional time to complete after you leave. I will arrange with you for a hand-off if you are local. If you need to have it shipped, we can work it out if you'll cover the cost of shipping. If interested, we can also talk about the art of layering, how to wear a scarf, and answer your color questions as we wrap up with some styling demos.
The creative life came knocking on my door nearly 12 years ago. Once a communications executive, I am now a working artist and fashion designer, creating scarves, wraps, ponchos and garments based on my hand-painted designs. My work sells around the U.S. and has been featured in the media, on Bay Area runways, and in designer events including the prestigious San Francisco's de Young Museum. Come paint with me!
It'll keep you going!

We'll spend the session at my art and design studio, located at the Art Bias Studios, home to nearly 49 artists. We want to spend as much time painting as possible so we'll dive in right away!
