I'm founder of Local Food Tour Prague and have been presenting Prague cuisine to people from all over the world for almost two years - but have worked in Prague tourism even longer. I've also worked as a chef who now studies history of food. Cuisine is like a portal to our past and culture because every meal has its background story. It's often thrilling to find out how some foods evolved over time. How did potatoes get to Europe? Why aren't dumplings particularly Czech? Is it a good idea to eat sauerkraut? Finally, as a local, I feel the need to offer an alternative to all the 'hop on hop offs' and 'beer bikes' with my intimate food and history tour.
5 stops, min 10 tastings! Guided walk, live commentary and more than 10 items to taste!
Craft and Pilsner Beer Enjoy variety of local craft beers at a pub / brewery and Czech signature beer - Pilsner!
We will walk around the old town area visiting places such as bistro, restaurant, pub, brewery, butcher's and delicatessen.
Everyone is welcomed but you will enjoy tour the most if you: eat meat, drink beer, feel rested and hungry :)
