A local guide with great knowledge of local routes will make it an experience you'll never forget. Routes can be custom made to suit all levels. The type of bicycle to be used can range from mountain bike to hybrid to road bike. The time and distance that people want to spend cycling can also be adjusted to suit all levels. U16s must be accompanied by an adult. We will meet the evening before if possible to discuss the route/s for the following day/s cycling. We will stop at cafes/restaurants if you so wish. We can also bring our own snacks, this will enable us to enjoy a bite to eat in beautiful remote and scenic areas. Bikes can be provided. If people would like to spend a night or two or more camping then it would be ideal if they had their own bikes, panniers, bags and camping gear, food etc. But with plenty of notice we will do our best to provide these. Nothing should stand in the way of an adventure along the north west's wild Atlantic way!
I'm a keen cyclist and love to spend time camping in the wilds of Donegal. Showing my fellow cycling and camping enthusiasts the beautiful area of the northwest of Ireland is a passion of mine. From it's rugged coastline to it's stunning hidden lakes, rivers and majestic mountains. Finding a beautiful spot to camp for the night is an adventure in itself. Wake up to stunning ocean views or placid lakes basked in the morning sunshine. Hear the locals speak the ancient gaelic language, experience local song and music in traditional pubs, visit our nearby islands, and learn all about the history.
We will meet you at the Aura leisure centre in letterkenny on the morning of the cycle. But if you already have a group of 8, 10 or more, We can meet you anywhere in Donegal. Just let us know when you are booking your cycle route or routes.
Guests are asked to provide their own food and drinks, bikes and camping gear, first aid kits, helmets and hi viz where possible. But these can be provided at an additional cost.
