After we find each other and a short introduction, I always ask what interest you the most, what your priorities are, how hungry you are. :-) Then, the adventure begins. We take a walk in the center looking at some famous sights, I explain their story, importance, curiosities. We visit the central market which gives the perfect opportunity to see some everyday in Florence but even tasting some "far from everyday" things, like coccoli, cantuccini, lampredotto, gelato, we continue our tour towards the Ponte Vecchio next to which we stop for visiting a traditional, family run, goldsmith workshop where old Etruscan and Renaissance patterned jewellery is still handmade. In the end we sit in a nice bar for a coffee and time comes when I listen to you. I am always curious about my guest and I really enjoy getting to know people from all around the world. If you love street food and would like to eat like locals, but in the meanwhile you are also hungry for the history of Florence, this tour is for you! Looking forward to seeing you!
When I visit a new place, I really like discovering the "must see" sights, however I am just as curious about the local gastronomy. That's the reason why I created this tour for the visitors of Florence. As an official tour guide, I would like you to see it and taste it as well. This tour is for you, curious visitors as I'll show you Florence with its heroes, losers, hidden treasures and world famous gastronomy. I host you as a friend, not as a tourist and enjoy even the nice talks with a gelato in hand. I'm ready, hope to get to know you soon.
Lunch in a street food manner is offered. Sandwich, biscuits with wine, salty donuts, gelato, coffee. The choice can vary!
In the beginning of the walking tour we see the Cathedral, the Baptistry and the Bell Tower (from outside). Then we continue towards The Medici district (Palazzo Medici, San Lorenzo) and we arrive at the central market. Here comes the gastronomic adventure. We'll not miss the house of Dante, Piazza della Signoria with the Palazzo Vecchio, the river Arno and the Ponte Vecchio (the Old Bridge). The itinerary can be modified on your request.
Please inform me about your food allergies and preferences in order to organize the itinerary for food stops in the best way. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring some water
