Porto is known as the "city of the 1000 islands" - an island is meant to be a bairro built many years ago with the intent to accommodate workers. Throughout this experience, we will walk through the middle of Porto and follow a secret path that even the locals are unaware of. Along the path, I will tell you all its historical context, amazing stories that shaped our culture and values and we will stop in a number of key locations to to take the best and most exclusive pictures of the city. We will meet at São Bento station and take the train to Campanhã. From Campanhã, we will take the path and enjoy our time together. We will make two strategic stops along the way for drinks and pictures. We will end in where we started, meaning, São Bento station, which is one of the ex-libris of our town. I will leave you with a great historical context about Porto and full of tips of things to do during your stay. Really looking forward to meet you all.
Hi everyone, I'm Pedro and I was born and raised in Porto. After living some time abroad in many cities I discovered that the best places are not normally mentioned in traditional tour guides and/or accessible through google. As such, I decided to commit myself to unveil some of those places starting with the amazing trail from Campanhã to S.Bento.
Soft drinks I'll provide some beer, water and soft drinks.
Train:S.Bento to Campanhã
Throughout our journey we will be able to visit both S.Bento and Campanhã stations, take a secret trail from the XIX century and enjoy some of the most exclusive views of four of the most iconic bridges of Porto, and visit one typical "island" that was built in the earlys 1900.
