We will start from the ferry boat landing in West Seattle, just like travelers did in 1888. From there we will take on some stunning city views and visit Seattle's oldest neighborhood. We will hike through an old growth forest, just like the first settlers did - virtually unchanged. We will visit the Log House Museum to become fully immersed in the history of West Seattle and visit the landing site of the first settlers. We will then travel through town to another great hike in a 68 acre park that that boasts the only publicly-owned climbing rock in the city. A park that you can rent a cabin with a fire pit within the city. This experience will expand your knowledge of the history of Seattle and open your eyes to what our founding fathers fell in love with. Plan on hiking, sightseeing and taking pictures. There will be an opportunity to grab coffee and a doughnut along the way. There really is no better place than West Seattle - come see for yourself!
Plan on a combined hike of about 2-miles with some elevation change. There will be ample photo opportunities as well as landmarks to explore along the way.
