When tasting artisan foods, we like to savor it! You will sample 10 different honeys from across the United States and we will help you discover the variety of flavor tones that each honey possesses. These flavor tones will range from exotic fruits (think Hawaiian tropical fruits) to earthy delights (think alfalfa) to confectionary sweets (think cream brûlée). We will share facts about the process of making, extracting, and consuming honey. Finally, we will finish the tasting with one of our favorite treats: a slice of fresh baguette with brie cheese and honey. By the end of this experience, guests should have a greater appreciation for artisan honey and the unique characteristics that accompany this genre of food.
I am an engineer who is in love with artisan foods. I was recently married to my wonderful wife Rebecca, who has worked in many artisan food establishments. We saw a serious need for a honey tasting in the Beehive state and began gathering different honey from all over the country. For a year and a half we have been sharing honey and talking about bees with people who consider themselves foodies, just like us.
