We will paddle through the channels of the beautiful Laguna Nichupté, the only remaining place in Cancun that is 100% natural. We will paddle for 45 minutes surrounded only by mangrove, birds, and fish until we arrive at a virgin beach called Playa Conchitas. We'll stop at the beach for about 20 minutes to rest, drink water, and take pictures. We'll then paddle back to the starting point - about 20 minutes - taking a different route, so you can see even more of the lagoon. After the activity, we will store the boards and go either to the coffee shop where we started, or to a laguna view restaurant to drink a fresh juice, also located at our starting point. Stand-up paddleboarding here is a very easy activity because the water is always 100% flat and the boards we use are very stable. You will have a lot of fun and you'll remember this activity for a long time.
My brother Arnaud and I will have the pleasure of being your hosts for this experience. We both practice stand-up paddleboarding in competitions at a national level. I, Maxime, was a professional windsurfer in France for over five years and when I stopped my sports career, I moved to Cancun and opened my own watersports school. Since then, I have taught stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, and kitesurfing to thousands of people from every corner of the world. Arnaud is also a good windsurfer. He decided to move to Cancun to learn Spanish and he never went back home.
Full paddleboarding set I'll provide rigid Lokahi boards with carbon fiber paddles and a safety leash.
Our meeting point and launch site will be at the brand new Marina Kaybal located beside the Starbucks coffee.
I strongly recommend wearing lycra, a hat, and sunblock. I will have a waterproof bag for you to bring your smartphone or camera to take pictures while on the beach.
