From our initial pickup site at 9:00am, we provide transportation to the Yunque Rainforest. The drive is approximately one and a half hours, with one rest stop midway at a local fruit stand. Upon arrival to our destination I like to start off with a moment to get settled and relax in the river. During which I guide us through a series of breathing techniques. Once everyone is feeling alert and ready to move on, we can begin our walk up the riverbed. I provide photography and will offer guidance on the calmest route while you can enjoy the scenic view and wonderful beauty of some of Puerto Rico's finest aspects. We will pass by a few waterholes and be able to view several waterfalls. At the end of the trail I will set up a fruit display for us to snack on before eventually departing and returning along the trail to parking. The journey into the rainforest and back out will last until approximately 4:00pm and we will arrive back in San Juan by 5:30pm where I can return you to your place of stay.
I've been guiding tours on this island for around two years now. Starting off with other tour companies, and eventually, through their wonderful mentorship, embracing the chance to provide these tours independently on Airbnb. My goal is to provide the highest of quality experiences for you, our guests. My personal expertise in this field is primarily derived from my military experience in the Marines. Five years in the infantry as a reconnaissance man provided for extensive first aid, outdoor hiking, navigation, and team building exercises, but today I'm using all that to have safe fun. I look forward to sharing a friendly and personable day together on your vacation.
Several fruits will be laid out to enjoy at the end of the trail.
I will be carrying drinking water for anyone who would like it.

We will begin our excursion into the woods on the East of Yunque, next to Rio Fajardo. The trail and riverbed are a popular site for tourists and locals alike. The vegetation is truly lush, thriving, and unique. The waters are brisk, and soothing to listen to. It's a wonderful environment to visit.
A good pair of hiking sandals are recommended, your feet will get wet and occasionally muddy.
Be prepared to hike, get wet, and get muddy. Tennis shoes and a swimsuit are recommended. We provide transportation to and from the site as well as food and water.
